MORE THAN 50 CHOC CHILDREN'S DOCTORS NAMED "PHYSICIANS OF EXCELLENCE"
January 04, 2010 More than 50 CHOC Children’s physicians, including specialists and pediatricians, are featured as "Physicians of Excellence" in the January 2010 issue of Orange Coast magazine. The "Physicians of Excellence" program was developed by the Orange County Medical Association, the largest physician membership association in the county. The annual program honors the region's outstanding physicians for their dedication to the medical profession and their service to the community. To be selected, physicians were required to be certified by an American Board of Medical Specialties board member; be in good standing with the Medical Board of California; maintain a primary practice in Orange County for the last five years; and be in practice within his/her specialty for the last five years. Additionally, physicians were required to meet at least three of the following criteria: leadership; teaching/mentoring; medical research/scientific advances; and humanitarian service. Congratulations to these CHOC doctors for being named “Physicians of Excellence.” They are part of a dymanic team of pediatric experts, caring for the two million children who depend on CHOC.
